Alabama Corrections’ Three-Year Prison Transformation Plan Focuses On Staffing, Infrastructure, Programming & Culture
On May 23, 2019, the Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) released a three-year plan outlining the actions it will take to address long-standing challenges and to transform corrections in Alabama. The plan outlines concentrated efforts over the next three years in four strategic focus areas: staffing, infrastructure, programming and culture. ADOC operates 25 correctional institutions that houses more than 20,000 offenders.
