Alzheimer’s Burden Is Greater In Appalachian Ohio Areas Than Other Rural Areas
Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders (ADRD) is more common in rural Appalachian Ohio communities compared to other rural areas in the state. Rural Appalachian counties had an average of between 2% and 3% higher prevalence of Alzheimer's disease, compared to rural non-Appalachian counties of the state.
