Among younger adults, the percent of individuals with a new mental health diagnosis was lower in 2020 than expected based on 2019 trend. Mental health treatment utilization declined during 2020 (compared to 2019 rates) for most Anthem member populations, but rose slightly, 1%, among Baby Boomers.
