Apple Allocates $400 Million For California Housing
On July 13, 2020, Apple announced it allocated more than $400 million toward its multi-year $2.5 billion commitment announced in November 2019 to help address California’s housing crisis. The current round of funding will be used to create more than 250 new units of affordable housing across the Bay Area. Additionally, Apple partnered with the California Housing Finance Agency (CalHFA) to use some of the current funding to create a mortgage and down payment assistance fund, as well as an affordable housing investment support program.
