Arizona Medicaid Submits Waiver Amendment To Expand Medicaid Payment To Include Short-Term Housing, Move-In Expenses & Eviction Prevention
On May 26, 2021, the Arizona Health Care Costs Containment System (AHCCCS) submitted a Medicaid waiver amendment to use Medicaid funds to pay for short-term housing, one-time move-in expenses, and eviction prevention expenses. The goal is to improve health outcomes and reduce overall health care costs for homeless Medicaid beneficiaries.
