Mobile Behavioral Health Crisis Response Team Pilot Launched In Aurora, Colorado
On September 8, 2021, the Aurora Mental Health Center, a community mental health center, and Falck Rocky Mountain, an ambulance provider, and the city of Aurora, Colorado launched a pilot Aurora Mobile Response Team. The six-month pilot will provide an alternative to law enforcement response to behavioral health crisis in the northwestern part of the city. The Aurora Mobile Response Team includes a licensed mental health clinical professional from Aurora Mental Health and a paramedic from Falck Rocky Mountain. As of October 12, 2021, the Aurora Mobile Response Team had responded to 57 calls for service.
