California Governor Signs Legislation With $22 Billion To Address Housing & Homelessness
California Governor Gavin Newsom signed a package of bills on September16, 28, and 29, 2021, with a new strategy and $22 billion in funding for addressing homelessness. Starting now, local governments must commit to quantifiable goals across six standardized metrics and make progress towards meeting or exceeding them in order to receive their full share of Homeless Housing, Assistance and Prevention Program (HHAP) funding.
