California Releases $5.2 Billion Medicaid HCBS Spending Plan
On June 3, 2021, the California Health & Human Services Agency (CHHS) released a $5.2 billion plan to expand Medicaid home- and community-based services (HCBS) over the next few years. The plan is funded by $2.2 billion in state funding matched by about $3 billion in enhanced federal funding provided by the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA).
