CDC Estimates COVID-19 Safety Will Cost Public Schools $442 Per Student For In-Person Learning
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates it will cost schools an average of $442 per student to implement strategies to prevent coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infections during in-person classes. The total cost is estimated at $22 billion for the nearly 50.7 million public school students in the United States during the 2020 to 2021 school year.
