Centene To Acquire Community Medical Group To Expand Its Provider Assets

On March 5, 2018, Centene Corporation (Centene) announced that it had signed a definitive agreement to acquire Community Medical Holdings Corporation, dba Community Medical Group (CMG). The transaction was expected to close by the end of March 2018. Monetary details of the transaction are not currently available, however under the terms of the purchase agreement, Centene has the ability to fund the purchase with either cash, or a combination of cash and Centene stock.
