CMS Outlines Mobile Clinics, Telehealth & Rural Health Funding For PACE Expansion

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued guidance outlining strategies that states and Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) organizations can use to expand PACE into rural and frontier communities. The July 22, 2026 memo addresses the use of mobile clinics, telehealth, workforce partnerships, regulatory waivers, and Rural Health Transformation Program (RHT Program) funding while clarifying which existing PACE requirements continue to apply.

PACE provides comprehensive medical and long-term care services to people age 55 and older who meet a nursing facility level of care but are able to live safely in the community . . .
