Addiction disorder definitely or probably contributed to 47% of all pregnancy-associated deaths in Indiana in 2019. In about 38% of the pregnancy-associated deaths in Indiana, mental health conditions (other than drug use) either definitely or probably contributed to the death. Obesity definitely or probably accounted for 7% of Indiana pregnancy-associated deaths.
