Florida Lawmakers Agree To Spend An Additional $95 Million Per Year To Reduce Waiting List For Medicaid iBudget I/DD Waiver Program
The Florida legislature passed a state budget for fiscal year 2021-2022 that includes an additional $95 million to fund new slots for people with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) on the waiting list for the Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) waiver operated by the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD). Currently, more than 23,000 people are on the waiver waiting list.
