Georgia Legislature Expands Special Education Voucher Program To Include Students With 504 Plans
The Georgia legislature passed a bill (Senate Bill 47) to expand access to state-funded private school tuition vouchers through the Georgia Special Needs Scholarship to students with education plans under Section 504 of the federal Rehabilitation Act. Students with 504 plans typically need some kind of accommodation due to a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities.
