From 2018 through 2024, adults with serious mental illness (SMI) were more likely than adults without SMI to receive a prescription for a glucagon-like peptide-1 Adults with diabetes and schizophrenia were less likely to receive glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist prescriptions than adults with diabetes who did not have serious mental illness (SMI).
