Humana Food Delivery Program For Medicare Advantage Members Improves Quality Of Life

A pilot program funded by Humana providing food delivery services for Humana Medicare Advantage members increased member quality of life.  The program, run by Mom's Meals, was made available to Humana members aged 65 and older with diabetes and food insecurity. By the close of the pilot program, approximately 86% of participating Humana Medicare Advantage members reported that having diabetes-friendly meals delivered to their homes was “essential” to their overall well-being.

During the year-long 2020 pilot program at undisclosed U.S. locations, 367 Humana Medicare Advantage enrollees with diabetes, who also screened positive for food insecurity . . .
