Indiana Issues RFP For Community-Based Family Preservation Services, Moving Reimbursement From FFS To Per Diem
On December 16, 2019, the Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS) issued a request for proposals (RFP 10000178) seeking contractors to provide family preservation services across the state. DCS currently contracts with multiple provider organizations to deliver family preservation services under an hourly fee-for-service (FFS) model. However, the state has changed how it intends to fund the services, and has adopted a per diem model to replace the FFS model.
