Iowa Is Expanding The Non-Medicaid Children’s System of Care Into New Counties

The Iowa Department of Human Services (DHS) is expanding its non-Medicaid Children’s System of Care for children ages 0 to 18 with serious emotional disturbance (SED) into new counties through a request for proposals (RFP MHDS 22-010) released on August 26, 2021 and due on October 13, 2021. DHS intends to contract with two of the 24 organizations currently providing Integrated Health Home (IHH) services for children with SED.
