Just 34% Of All Hospital/Health System Initiatives Used An EHR To Collect SDOH Data
According to a recent literature review, just 34% of all hospital or health system initiatives use the organization's electronic health record system (EHR) to collect data related to social determinants of health (SDOH). 73% of initiatives that collect SDOH data address two or more types of SDOH--defined by the World Health Organization (WHO) as “the conditions in which people are born, grow, work, live, and age, and the wider set of forces and systems shaping the conditions of daily life."
