Kentucky Partners With Youth Villages To Launch LifeSet For Youth Transitioning From Foster Care
On July 23, 2020, the Kentucky Department for Community Based Services (DCBS) launched Youth Villages’ LifeSet program to help youth transitioning from foster care. The program will serve foster youth ages 17 to 21 in the Lexington and Louisville areas, which includes 25 counties: Bath, Boyle, Bullitt, Bourbon, Clark, Estill, Fayette, Garrard, Hardin, Henry, Jefferson, Jessamine, Lincoln, Madison, Meade, Mercer, Montgomery, Nelson, Oldham, Powell, Rockcastle, Scott, Shelby, Spencer, and Woodford. Funding for the launch is through a public-private partnership between DCBS and Youth Villages.
