On December 31, 2017, Kipu Systems sued Solutions Recovery Center, LLC and ZenCharts, LLC alleging that the defendants reverse engineered Kipu’s electronic medical record (EMR). In the complaint, Kipu Systems alleges that individuals associated with Solutions Recovery, an addiction treatment provider organization, and individuals associated with a software development company approached Kipu under false pretenses, conspired to gain access to the Kipu EMR System, and violated the Kipu terms of service in order to obtain source code needed to create ZenCharts as a "copycat system." Solutions Recovery Center and ZenCharts deny the allegations and contend that the two products . . .
