In 2020, consumer long-term care costs increased substantially in 2020. The only cost that did not increase was the cost of adult day services, which decreased approximately 1.3%. Costs that increased include:
Assisted living facility: increased about 6.2% to a median annual cost of $51,600
Private room in a nursing home: increased about 3.6% to a median annual cost of $105,850
Semi-private room in a nursing home: increased about 3.2% to a median cost of $93,075
Home health aide: increased about 4.4% to a median cost of $$54,912
