Louisiana To Launch Statewide HomeReady Platform For Foster & Kinship Caregiver Certification

The Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) plans to launch HomeReady statewide in October 2026 to improve how foster and kinship families move through the state's training and certification process. The technology platform will allow prospective caregivers to complete applications, find and complete training, submit required documentation, and monitor their progress. DCFS staff will have access to digital tools intended to reduce the time needed to manage administrative processes.
