Maine Seeks To Close The Long Creek Youth Development Center By 2022

On March 5, 2019, the State of Maine announced the intent to close the Long Creek Youth Development Center by 2022. Funding from the center will be diverted into a continuum of community-based alternatives. On July 26, 2019, the Task Force on Alternatives to Incarceration for Maine Youth held its first meeting.
