Men, Younger & Previously Employed Housing First Program Participants, Had Greater Odds Of Employment Compared To Usual Care
For participants in the Housing First program, men, younger individuals, and those who were already employed, increased the odds of obtaining competitive employment compared to those who received usual care. Overall, Housing First participants receiving intensive case management (ICM) or assertive community treatment (ACT) had better odds of obtaining employment compared with the control groups. However, the rate of increase was significant only for those Housing First participants receiving ICM. Recipients of ICM with more than 12 years of education and with higher community functioning (MCAS scores) also had greater odds of obtaining competitive employment, compared with the control group . . .
