Nearly 1.5 Million U.S. Children Have Been Diagnosed With COVID-19
Nearly 1.5 million children (1,460,905) have been diagnosed with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the United States through December 3, 2020. This represents approximately 2% of the 75 million children in the U.S. Children represented 12% of all the 12,167,620 cases diagnosed thus far. The overall diagnosis rate is 1,941 cases per 100,000 children in the American population. Over two weeks, from November 19 to December 3, there was a 23% increase in child COVID-19 cases (277,296 new cases: from 1,183,609 to 1,460,905).
