American Diabetes Association Releases New Care Standards Focused On Screening, First-Line Therapy & Use Of Technology
New American Diabetes Association (ADA) standards of medical care for 2022 were released on December 20, 2021. The updated standards have significant changes related to screening, first-line therapy, and use of technology compared to the previous standards:
Diabetes screening: Screening for prediabetes and type 2 diabetes should take place regularly starting at age 35, or earlier if other risks are present.
