New Jersey To Expand Availability Of Medication Assisted Addiction Treatment Through Five New Contracts
The New Jersey Department of Human Services (DHS) Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) is planning to expand access to medication assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder through five new regional contracts with opioid treatment program (OTP) provider organizations. The regional contracts went out to bid in mid-January, and the contracts are slated to start in April 2021. The selected OTPs will operate with expanded hours and provide same day service for dispensing methadone or buprenorphine as MAT via on-site and telehealth visits.
