New Mexico Primary Care Council Developing Medicaid Primary Care Payment & Delivery Reforms To Launch In 2024
The New Mexico Primary Care Council (PCC), in conjunction with the state’s Human Services Department (HSD), is developing primary care payment and care delivery reforms for Medicaid, with a goal of implementing the reforms on January 1, 2024. The new payment model will replace the state’s current fee-for-service model with a value-based payment model with risk that is appropriate for provider organizations and health care professionals.
