New York City Reports 6% Drop In Foster Care Population In FY 2020

Between fiscal years (FY) 2019 and 2020, the number of New York City children in foster care dropped by 6%, from 8,322 in 2019 to 7,827 in 2020. The number of children in care for two or more years has declined by 25% between FY 2017 and FY 2020.
