New York Office Of Mental Health To Launch Support Teams To Help Vulnerable & Long-Term Homeless Connect To Community-Based Services
The New York Office of Mental Health (OMH) is planning to implement support teams to help state residents with mental illness connect to community-based services. OMH is providing $30 million over a five-year contract to one organization that will create eight Critical Time Intervention (CTI) teams. Six of the teams will function as care transition and support teams (CTST) for adults age 18 and older who are transitioning to the community after receiving inpatient care at a psychiatric facility. Two of the CTI teams will engage adults age 18 and older with mental illness and other medical conditions . . .
