The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) extended the deadline from March 1 to June 1, 2021, for behavioral health provider organizations to apply to become “care management agencies” (CMAs). CMAs will provide tailored care management (TCM) for people with complex behavioral health disorders or intellectual/developmental disabilities (BH/IDD) who currently receive treatment and supportive services from the state’s seven regional Local Management Entities/Managed Care Organizations (LME/MCOs).
