Oklahoma Medicaid Releases Managed Care Procurement
On October 15, 2020, the Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) released a request for proposals (RFP 8070001240) for managed care organizations (MCOs) to administer the state’s SoonerSelect Medicaid program. There are no incumbent MCOs for this contract, since the SoonerCare program is currently administered by OHCA. Currently, the SoonerCare system is financed through a fee-for-service (FFS) primary care case management program (PCCM) called SoonerCare Choice—and OHCA administers the plan without contracted health plans.
The selected MCOs will operate statewide to serve the SoonerSelect population of about 566,757 individuals, which includes children, deemed newborns, pregnant women . . .
