Oklahoma Awards $2.2 Billion To Four Medicaid Health Plans
On January 29, 2021, the Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) selected four Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs) to run the new $2.2 billion SoonerSelect managed care program slated to go live on October 1, 2021. The state selected: Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma, Oklahoma Complete Health, Humana Healthy Horizons, and UnitedHealthcare. The state selected Oklahoma Complete Health for the SoonerSelect Specialty Children's Plan (SCP) program. The contracts are for an initial one-year term through June 2022 and five optional one-year extensions at the discretion of OHCA.
