Only 18% Of Medicaid/CHIP Provider Organizations Received COVID Relief Funds
About 18% of provider organizations that participate only in Medicaid or the state Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) received funding through the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) provider relief fund created in March 2020 by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act). This compared to 99.8% of Medicare provider organizations that received assistance from the provider relief fund.
