Oregon Opens 12-Bed Youth Secure Inpatient Facility, Increasing State Capacity To 44 Beds
The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) opened a new 12-bed secure inpatient treatment facility for youth ages 10 to 17 in Eugene. The facility, serving youth who have received treatment at lower levels of care and need more intensive services and support, increased Oregon’s statewide capacity for this level of care from 32 to 44 beds.
The facility is being operated through a contract with Nexus Family Healing. Nexus began accepting youth on September 2, 2026. OHA manages access to the program, where the average stay is six to nine months.
