Pennsylvania Fines Aetna $190,000 Over Coverage Violations Involving Autism & Addiction Treatment
On January 8, 2019, the Pennsylvania Insurance Department (PID) fined Aetna $190,000 over violations of state law, including coverage of autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and addiction disorder-related coverage in its commercial plans from January 2015 through March 2016.
