Maine’s Penobscot Community Health Care Launches MAT Pilot In Primary Care Clinics Operated By Six Provider Organizations
On November 10, 2021, Penobscot Community Health Care (PCHC) launched a new pilot project focused on training six community-based primary care provider organizations to build and maintain clinics that deliver medication-assisted addiction treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder. The six primary care clinics are members of the Maine Primary Care Association (MCPA), which is collaborating with PCHC on the pilot. The goal is to increase access to MAT for consumers with opioid use disorder who are served by the participating primary care clinics.
