Remote monitoring for adults discharged after hospitalization for a serious infection did not increase the number of days spent at home during the 90 days following discharge, according to a recent study. The intervention also was not associated with lower readmission rates. Among Medicare-eligible adults age 65 and older, remote monitoring was associated with fewer days spent at home.
