Seattle To Invest In 599 Apartments For Homeless Individuals
On August 12, 2020, Seattle, Washington Mayor Jenny A. Durkan announced that the City of Seattle Office of Housing will invest in 599 new units of permanent supportive housing (PSH) for people experiencing homelessness in six buildings. The Office of Housing is committing approximately $60 million from the Seattle Housing Levy to be used along with state and federal resources to build and operate the housing. Five hundred of the new PSH will be available for occupancy by the end of 2021.
