South Carolina Medicaid Expands MCOs For Healthy Connections Medicaid & Healthy Connections Prime Programs

On January 22, 2021, the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) announced it will add one more Medicaid managed care organization (MCO) for its Healthy Connections Medicaid program. It will expand the number of health plans for its Healthy Connections Prime program for dual eligibles from three to six.

SCDHHS is adding Humana as an additional MCO for the Healthy Connections program for Medicaid-only beneficiaries; the contract is slated to go live on July 1, 2021.
