Starbucks To Enhance Employee Mental Health Benefits
On September 5, 2019, Starbucks announced plans to enhance mental health benefits for its employees over the next 12 months. The company plans to enhance its employee assistance program (EAP) and is on track to contract with the Headspace app solution to help promote mental wellness. Starbucks will also train store managers on how to provide mental health first aid. The organization will work with organizations, such as the Born This Way Foundation and Team Red White & Blue, to help break the stigma around mental health.
