Texas To Test All Residents & Staff In State-Run Homes For People With Disabilities & Psychiatric Hospitals
On May 21, 2020, Texas Governor Greg Abbott directed the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to expand testing for coronavirus disease of 2019 (COVID-19) to the approximately 4,700 residents, and about 18,000 staff at 23 state-operated inpatient psychiatric hospitals and state-supported living centers (SSLC).
