Three Health Systems Report Up To 65% Less Documentation Time & Higher Revenue From AI Ambient Speech Tool
Three health systems reported reductions in documentation time and increases in clinician revenue after piloting an artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled ambient speech technology platform, according to a return-on-investment validation study by KLAS Research.
The study examined pilots at FMOL Health, McLeod Health, and Rush University System for Health, all of which implemented the same ambient speech tool within Epic electronic health record workflows in ambulatory care settings. The pilots, which ranged from three to five months, were designed to reduce documentation burden, improve coding accuracy, and assess measurable operational and financial impact.
