Transaction Activity In The Autism Services Space Fell 27% Year-Over-Year In 2020
The volume of merger and acquisition (M&A) activity in the autism services market dropped by 27% during 2020 compared to the volume during 2019. During 2019, there were 44 deals in the autism treatment space, while just 32 deals were completed in 2020. Much of this decrease is due to the impact that the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) public health emergency had on autism provider organizations, especially in clinic settings.
