U.S. Senate Investigation Conducted On Care For I/DD Populations In Iowa & Oregon
U.S. Senate has concluded investigations on care for populations with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD) in Iowa and Oregon. The bipartisan investigations on The Mentor Network (MENTOR) facilities started in 2019 following media reports of abuse and neglect in these facilities in both Iowa and Oregon. MENTOR is one of the largest providers of human services in the country, and its facilities receive significant federal funding through Medicaid to provide care for individuals with I/DD.
