Unemployment Among People With Disabilities Rose To 12.6% During 2020
Between 2019 and 2020, the unemployment rate for people with a disability age 16 and older rose 5.3 percentage points, from 7.3% in 2019 to 12.6% in 2020. Among people age 16 and older without disabilities, the unemployment rate rose 4.4 percentage points, from 3.5% in 2019 to 7.9% in 2020. During 2020, about 29% of working age people with a disability were employed part time, compared with 16% of those with no disabilities.
