UnityPoint Health Equips Home Health Employees With Personal Safety Alarm Devices
UnityPoint Health in Central Illinois recently announced that it had equipped more than 110 home health, hospice, and palliative care employees with a piece of mind (POM) wearable device to connect them with emergency services if they feel unsafe during a consumer visit. The device connects to an application on the user’s smartphone. When the user presses the alert button, the device uses the smartphone location technology and calls local emergency dispatchers.
