Workplace Mental Health Programs Drive Significant ROI
Workplace mental health programs drive significant return-on-investment (ROI). Workplace mental health programs at seven large Canadian companies earned a median ROI of $1.62 for every Canadian dollar (CA) invested after one year, and $2.18 after three or more years.
The ROI calculation included a range of costs related to program investments for training, workplace events, and behavioral health care services. The costs were compared to short-term disability (STD) and long-term disability (LTD) claims, as well as the costs of presenteeism (working while unwell with reduced productivity).
