Best Intentions Are Not Enough: Techniques For Using Research And Data To Develop New Evidence-Informed Prevention Programs

In April 2013, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services published a brief on the challenges confronting stakeholders involved in the replication and scale-up of evidence-based programs and the issues around implementing evidenceinformed strategies. This brief also includes information on the use of meta-analysis and "kernels" to identify research-based components and practices to incorporate into new programs, as well as how a logic model can help organize this information and guide program development, testing, and revision.
